The Israeli government spies on America using Israeli software too.

French President Emmanuel Macron has ordered an immediate investigation into claims that the ‘Pegasus’ spyware software was used to spy on himself and other high-ranking officials.
The newspaper Le Monde reported that Macron’s phone had been infiltrated by the Moroccan government using the Israeli-developed malware programme.
According to reports, the government of Morocco was able to listen in to Macron’s phone calls, as well as access his messages.
The French government told Le Monde that ‘If the facts are true, they are obviously very serious’. However, Morocco has already dismissed the claims as ‘unfounded and false’.
The ‘Pegasus’ spyware programme, developed by Israeli firm NSO, has come under increasing scrutiny after Amnesty International – alongside other NGOs – obtained around 50,000 phone numbers that had supposedly been breached by the software. Many of these numbers were those of high ranking politicians.
Separate reports claim the president of India, Nehendra Modi, used the software to spy on political opponents. The same charge has been levelled at Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
