The problem is that the Constitution does not say that THE PEOPLE have an inherent, inalienable right to free speech that shall be inviolable.
Amendment 1 in its current form is an anachronism and has been for some time.
It, like the 10th and 14th could use a bit of the 21st Amendment treatment.
We need some “line item vetos”.
