Representative Jason Lowe and His Suspicious Rent Checks

Jason Lowe testifying UNDER OATH and under PENALTY OF PERJURY on April 21, 2020 that the collection of NINE uncancelled, unprocessed checks that he submitted as evidence of having paid rent to his mysterious landlord in Lubbock, TX (who was not available via telephone to testify on his behalf during the hearing) were all WRITTEN BY HIM, PAID BY HIM, and ACTUALLY CLEARED HIS BANK ACCOUNT. What if any of those things proves to be untrue? What if his landlord cannot confirm his testimony? What if the landlord does corroborate the Lowe’s story, but the checks prove fraudulent? What would that mean for the landlord? Why don’t the signatures match on all the checks? Did someone else sign them? Did they have permission? Did they have a limited power of attorney? Did they have a signature card on file with CHASE Bank? Why are there so many logical and grammatical errors on the letters that allegedly accompanied the checks? Things like “…$2,250.00 for two (3) months” or “…$3000 for two (4) months…” or “Please contact me if you have any questions for concerns”… How can someone consistently pay their rent anywhere from 20 days to THREE MONTHS LATE and 1) not incur and late fees and 2) not be evicted? Why was check #7067 dated THREE MONTHS _BEFORE_ check #7055? Why is there no image at all of a check to go with the letter dated January 10th 2020? If the most recent check (#8525) and letter associated with it were dated April 15, 2020, which was a Wednesday, and it was included in the packet of evidence submitted on April 16 for use at the hearing that took place on April 21…what it ever actually mailed to the landlord? And even then that still means he was paying his rent over a MONTH AND A HALF LATE! If any of letters and the checks were mailed to the landlord in Lubbock, TX, what are we looking at? How could we be looking at what is obviously 10+ pages stapled together with a check attached to each one if all of these things were put in an envelop and mailed to Lubbock, TX dating back to February 26, 2018?
