Tinker Air Force Base
To the men and women of the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex: Today, we face a challenge and uncertainty that no one could have imagined a few months ago. The COVID-19 pandemic has dramatically affected the way we live, learn, work & play. Faced with these challenges, I am impressed by the way your teams adapt, improvise and work together to continue to provide readiness for America’s warfighters. I trust you understand the importance of the role we play in the production of readiness for our Nation. To be clear, our jobs are the execution arm of the Defense Industrial Base and a vital part of Department of Defense National Military Strategy. And, the strategy hinges on each of us to produce capabilities necessary to support our nation’s armed forces - that distinguishes our work from others. Warfighter readiness comes from your hard work. Our ability to do that work depends upon your personal health & safety. We need your help to ensure distancing & contact protocols are maintained. Your teams have posted health guidance reminders, increased cleaning of equipment and common areas, and adjusted shifts. We ask that everyone know and understand personal protection and hygiene guidance from the CDC. We are trusting you to keep yourself and your Wingmen safe at work. Here’s the bottom line: What you do matters. How you do it matters more. Why you do it matters most. Please know that I am proud of your service, Brig. Gen. Chris Hill Commander, Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex
